The future of Canby is in the hands of our business and civic leaders. As an organization we work together to compliment each other to ensure positive growth while promoting the livability of this great town. Empowering citizens, leaders and business owners to support the business community will further enhance Canby as a whole, and the goals of the Chamber of Commerce.

I would like to see the Chamber grow by increased awareness amongst more of the diverse business owners we have in this community. I believe we have only scratched the surface in whom we can help and whom we can ask to join. Small businesses are the back bone of this community and it is our duty to help get them the tools to succeed. business owners and the Chamber. We must focus on creating more of a symbiotic relationship with the community.

“Canby is a great place to do business!  Our community economy is successful because we have complimentary diversification in our business base.  So many other communities struggle because they depend on one large business.  We don’t.  Talk to us about your business and how the Chamber can help integrate it into the community.”

The Chamber’s efforts help create a positive environment that benefits the welfare of the entire community, as well as the vitality of Canby businesses. The Business Community is a vital part of what makes this town great and if we don’t give back, we’re not doing our part. The effectiveness of the Chamber helps promote opportunities for Canby businesses to thrive.

I feel it is a great opportunity and responsibility to serve the business community. One of the strengths of our town is the personal relationships that are developed over time through living, working and socializing together. The Chamber serves the business community by keeping them informed of city, state, and county events that may affect our businesses and by listening to different ideas and viewpoints, finding common ground between diverse opinions, while working towards a result that will benefit all involved. Our goal is to promote Canby and our business community thru increased visibility and by encouraging stronger personal relationships.

time of exciting change is occurring in our town as we look forward, and at the same time keep in mind where we came from. With all the aspects of what makes a community, the business community can be a driving and defining force of our city’s success. The Chamber of Commerce has and will continue to assist in making our city a success. I am excited to live and work here as well as to serve our community on the Chamber Board. As we progress forward, I will do my very best to enthusiastically represent the Business Community.

The Chamber and local businesses work hand in hand to help develop & revitalize our growing community, to help make sure the shopping dollars stay within our community. Being a Board Member for the past several years, I feel strongly on making sure these things continue to happen, working with others and helping to accomplish the goals set by the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Canby has given our family and me personally, a home. After graduating it has been a dream of mine to “give back” to a community that has become an integral part of my life. Being on the Board of the Canby Chamber has allowed me to serve, and to be a voice for local businesses, help bridge business, school, and community. The Chamber of Commerce is a community servant, and can always be counted on to perform any necessary task required that would provide benefit to our local business community.
